Interesting. I didn't know people were already working on reviving rocketry here, beyond the selection of Mati City as a possible launch site. Hope for the best on their efforts. :)

I don't suppose you know if that particular group has access to the research gleaned from the old Santa Barbara project?

most of them work low key, and most them are part of the DOST balik scientist, i did ask him if they were able to get hold of sanba plans, they never heard of it so i guess its loss already... the team leader is a retired US navy pilot commander

I'm glad the Balik Scientist program is showing tangible results. :)

They may have to ask the Air Force or whichever service might have kept the documentation. It would definitely be worth a shot to conduct some institutional archeology.

As I recall, the Government Arsenal under Director Martir was able to recover the full technical data package (TDP) for the M16A1 from the former LOGCOM archives (along with all the spare parts Elisco left behind). These documents were technically supposed to have been disposed off once Elisco's license was up, but they were conveniently misplaced, much to the benefit of the GA's small arms repair division and rifle production project.

Country's space agency visits PH Navy's R&D nexus

Quote
The Naval Research and Technology Development Center welcomed the Philippine Space Agency (PhilSA) delegation in a courtesy call, where both agencies discussed new potential space-based collaborations and efforts in line with the optimum utilization of space technology for the country and for the Philippine Navy.

Since last year, NRTDC has been one of the active partners of PhilSA in space-based explorations such as the former’s participation in the monumental development of Maya-3 and Maya-4 and in PhilSA’s Artificial Intelligence Training.

NRTDC on Friday welcomed the Philippine Space Agency (PhilSA) in a courtesy call, where both agencies discussed new potential space-based collaborations and efforts in line with the optimum utilization of space technology for the country and for the Philippine Navy.

Dr. Marc Caesar R. Talampas, Director IV of PhilSA’s Space Technology Missions & Systems Bureau, led PhilSA’s delegation on the tour of the Center’s facilities where they were apprised of the latter's recent space-related initiatives.

The team also met with RADM DANILO G FUENTES JR PN, Commander of the Naval Sea Systems Command, where they discussed the primary roles of PhilSA in the country especially in sustaining “a robust Philippine space ecosystem that adds and creates value in space”.
