CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY - President Rodrigo Roa Duterte ordered the military on Thursday to take full control and stop paramilitary groups from operating amid ongoing peace talks with different rebel groups in the country.

Speaking to reporters following his visit to Camp Vicente Alagar here, Duterte said the presence of the civilian armed groups could "undermine" the ongoing peace initiatives.

"I am now ordering the Army to take full control itong mga Bagani Command and the there is another group I forgot the name," the President said.

The lumad's differrent clans with their long disputes since the time when some sided with the NPA while the rest on the government side, some stayed neutral which bore the brunt of the insurgencies ( even today when there is already a major decline ). Its no secret that these conflict is around since the 80s which is often seen in the COMVAL and davao orriental areas.

On a side note. These Bagani Warrior Tribesmen - whom are locally called are also the source of CAA/CAFGU recruits and are known for their fierce courage ( notably in PANTUKAN - where the late commander parago was active ).
