CONSTRUCTION WORK CONTINUES for PNR Clark Phase 1

Full-blast construction of its elevated structures and stations in Malolos, Guiguinto and Balagtas is ongoing, along with continuous works for clearing and grubbing, and geotechnical investigation for confirmation in the three (3) stations, and construction of permanent bored pile in Balagtas and Guiguinto.

Further, the embankment area, preparation of pile cape concrete work and confirmation of borehore drilling for the Balagtas Station are also in the works, while the test pile construction works for the Malolos Station have already been completed on 28 August 2019.

Once the PNR Clark Phase 1 is completed and fully operational by 2021, travel time from Manila to Bulacan will be reduced from two (2) hours to just 35 minutes. The rail line is expected to serve 300,000 passengers daily.

Actual construction works at the Calumpit Main Site Yard of the PNR Clark Phase 1 (Manila-Bulacan)!

This facility located in Calumpit, Bulacan is a 14-hectare area that serves as the main production site for the precast segments of Contract Package 2 of the PNR Clark Phase 1. CP02 covers the construction works for three stations, namely, Balagtas, Guiginto, and Malolos.

This yard will include a batching plant for the supply of concrete to expedite precast segment production and other fabrication requirements.

Ongoing works at the yard include backfilling, which is now at 98% progress rate, piling which is targeted to be completed by mid-November, and the foundation works for the establishment of the Engineer's Office and Site Laboratory.

Furthermore, various specialized equipment such as the Tower Crane and Gantry Crane are expected to arrive soon to complement the ongoing site development work.

Transportation Secretary Arthur Tugade has ordered work to be done 24/7 to accelerate completion of the project, and has mandated the consultants to provide a daily progress report.

Once PNR Clark Phase 1 is fully operational, the 37.6-kilometer mass railway system will reduce travel time between Manila and Bulacan from one (1) hour and 30 minutes to just 35 minutes. This rail line is expected to serve 300,000 passengers daily.
