AIRLIFTERS KICKS OFF 2-DAY AMF SEMINAR WORKSHOP

As it continues to soar for improvement, The Philippine Air Force 220th Airlift Wing (Airlifters) once again, spearheaded a two-day seminar-workshop starting today, March 25-26, 2017 held at Grand Resort Bohol led by Wing Director for Logistics, MAJ NORWIN LICOTO PAF.

The workshop aims to produce a realistic, responsive and comprehensive maintenance programming or commonly known as the Aircraft Maintenance Fund (AMF 2018) particularly to those assigned at the Office of the Directorate for Materiel, the tactical and support unit commanders, aircraft managers and aircraft specialists.

The workshop is set to be one of the major planning and budgeting activities of the Wing for CY-2018. With the current trend in the Wing's airlift operations as obviously indicated by the monthly flying time accomplishment for all the Wing's air assets (more than a hundred percent in terms of the allocated programmed flying time) and the round-the clock nature of our flying operations which resulted to increased frequency of maintenance inspections, the crucial importance of coming up with a comprehensive maintenance planning cannot be doubted.

Since the yer 2012, this activity has truly address the longer downtime of the aircraft primarily caused by incorrect demand forecasting.

The forum design was based on the theme "Jointly Synthesizing an Integrated and Responsive Program for the Efficient Utilization of Logistical and Maintenance Requirements for 2018”.

It also includes four (4) separate modules namely APP Preparation, Requirement Determination, Bidding Flowchart, and the team challenge. The first three modules will optimize spares inventory in terms of correctly determining maintenance requirements and therefore ensuring full aircraft readiness while the last module, the team challenge, will develop the stronger sense of responsibility among the participants.

In essence, this gathering will also provide the aircrew and maintenance personnel the opportunity to give support in a productive exchange of knowledge.

OT-There is a PAF advertisement shown in Ayala Cinema(ATC) on ASEAN Air Chiefs Conference 2017 where it briefly Highlights the PAFs Accomplishment, & video clips of its current Air Assets.
I can't help, if I'm right to notice the lone S-70A Sikorsky in the Philippine service in her new task, in a 505th Colours with a rescue hoist. It might be from our neighbours or can somebody correct me on what was shown in the advert.
Thanks & Happy Easter to everyone!

Excerpt from Plan: Velocity

Quote
Establish and Institutionalize PAF Integrated Logistics System

Start: 2018
Complete: 2020

Overview

The PAF Flight Plan Materiel Objective is to acquire and Upgrade materiel in all mission areas particularly prioritizing capabilities for IADS in support to TD, while our Perceived Objective is to integrate logistics into the battle field. The Command has considered this objective because a modernizing Air Force depends largely on the provision of equipment and weapons systems including effective and efficient logistical support system. Poor requirement determination, weakness in short-term planning, and lack of skills of TWG members in doing market research hamper in achieving an efficient logistics system. This leads to inadequate materiel support and sustainability, which consequently resulted to Low Materiel Capability in Mission Areas.

An initiative was considered to address the core problem presented that will help realize the Command’s Vision for “An Enhanced Materiel Capability in All Mission Areas”. By establishing and institutionalizing an Integrated Logistics System, this will address the lack of materiel capability in all mission areas that focuses on Organization, Planning, Management and Development of Systems and Processes, Training, Sustainment Activities and Partnerships or Stakeholder Engagement. This initiatives offers solution for the PAF to maintain a straight and level flight while flying our PAF FLIGHT PLAN at TOP SPEED.
