Indonesian Navy commissions two PC-40 patrol craft into Western Fleet | Janes - 03 April 2017

The Indonesian Navy (Tentara Nasional Indonesia - Angkatan Laut: TNI-AL) has inducted two PC-40-class patrol craft into the service's Western Fleet (KOARMABAR).

The platform, which derives its design from the KCR-40 class missile attack craft, is the fourth and fifth PC-40 vessel to be operated by the TNI-AL.

Indonesia launches seventh PC-40 class vessel | Janes - 26 March 2018

The 248-tonne platform, which will be known in service as KRI Albakora with pennant number 867 once it is commissioned, was launched on 26 March at the shipbuilder’s facilities at Banten in West Java.

Each vessel has been built with weight considerations for a 30 mm calibre naval gun in the primary position, and two 12.7 mm machine guns in the aft section.
