Sometime between September 9 and September 10, 2016, Opus exercised his right as sole owner of Timawa.net to shutdown the Timawa.net forum. With the forum went 10 years worth of discussions by dozens of dedicated individuals who contributed their time and knowledge -- without compensation of any kind -- to the betterment of the knowledge of the Filipino people on matters of national defense and statecraft.
It was Opus' decision, and his decision alone, without any consultation with the existing active moderating team. Truth be told, it really was his decision to make. One that must be respected.
All that we can do now is pick up the pieces and rebuild the community-driven island of sanity that once called Timawa.net home.
