Over the years, the PH has been looking at indigenous hovercraft. Let's look at some of these attempts.

But the sixty-four dollar question is if a hovercraft is still viable for today's Fleet Marine force? The PMC may have LCAC dreams for ship to shore operations influenced by exercises with the USMC, but in the Philippine context I don't think its feasible. LCACs are useful if you want to land a brigade of marines in a moments notice. Even for the Royal Marines and Royal Australian Marines the LCU is sufficient for their doctrine.
