SC-497 Class Submarine Chaser:

Laid down 18 April 1942 by the Vinyard Shipbuilding Co., Milford, DE
Launched 7 September 1942
Commissioned USS PC-982, 2 November 1942
Reclassified SC-982 in April 1943
Transferred to the Philippines in June 1948 and named Cavite (P 19)
Scrapped.
