Laid down, 11 July 1944 at Charleston Navy Yard, Charleston, S.C.
Launched, 3 August 1944
Commissioned USS LSM-175, 25 September 1944, LTjg. Fred G. Bartlett USNR in command
Following World War II USS LSM-175 was assigned to Occupation service in the Far East from 7 October to 12 November 1945
Decommissioned, 11 July 1946, at San Francisco, CA.
Laid up in the Pacific Reserve Fleet
Recommissioned, 8 September 1950
Decommissioned and placed in service, 30 June 1955 at San Diego, CA.
Named Oceanside (LSM-175), 14 October 1959
Struck from the Naval Register, date unknown
USS LSM-175 earned one battle star for World War II service
Transferred to South Vietnam, 1 August 1961, renamed RVNS Huong Giang (HQ-404)
The fall of South Vietnam resulted in RVNS Huong Giang (HQ-404) escaping, 30 April 1975, to Subic Bay, P.I. where custody was transferred to the Republic of the Philippines, 17 November 1975
Custody assumed by the Philippine Navy and renamed BRP Batanes (LP65)
Final Disposition, disposed of by Philippines Navy in 1989
