RT-175/PRC-9

I am a HAM operator and being "on air" is one of my hobbies since my high school days,
I recently and impulsively got an old radio from the 50s-60s? just to have it displayed in my radio shack.
I wanted to try if it functions properly but i do not have the proper batteries for this,
from the looks of it, it was not used much in the field, doesn't have much scratches on it, but it smells old and smells like grease/oil on the inside hahaha i guess it might have been inside a vehicle most of the time

attached is the short whip antenna: AT-272.
i also came with the long whip antenna AT-271
theres also a (third) auxiliary antenna connection via BNC connector

here is the carrying bag with the short whip antenna

the handset H-333F/PT

the battery case

Freq range: 27-39Mhz on FM, it kinda falls on some CB and Amateur range, but as far as i know, Amateurs are only allowed SSB phone and RTTY, CB stations use AM and SSB (but then again, i only have a technicians class operator privileges)
