Politics and Government / Re: Sara for President?
« on: October 14, 2017, 11:45:12 PM »
Not ideal.

It will be better for somebody more capable than Inday Sara to take office.  ;)

Scuttlebutt says the Thales CMS has been ditched, along with other PN requirements for the frigates. The PN is now stark-raving mad, while the Koreans and DND have both agreed to the downgrades, notable of which is the Tacticos removed for the LigNex1 CMS, and the downgrade of the NS-106 to a less capable NS-100.

There is also very real possibility of other Thales products being replaced with Korean kimchi.

Retreacted for now. New info says the PN just came from talks with HHI in Korea. Guess they are with the program.

If so, will the chance of having subsystems as PN wanted  get materialized?

In respect also with the depreciable peso, is there any consideration that the contract price getting increased?

General Discussion / Re: KUH-1 Surion for the PAF?
« on: July 08, 2017, 10:43:26 AM »
This is an interesting topic about the Surions especially its Naval variant: Naval Technology

It is also ideal not only to PAF, but also to the PN's Naval Aviators where these choppers can be deployed in the Tarlac-class LPDs.

So to speak, it is still up to the decision makers in the end as to what chopper will get procured upon. But, anyways, this gives a promising thing for the AFP where if the PAF considers it and gets materialized along, the PN may opted it due to commonalities given and the logistical advantages it gains with regards to spare parts.

Clearly speaking, Mr. Lopez doesn't have any idea of what he talks about and keeps on focusing on the "price tag" of FA-50PH per unit. It is noted that the said project undertake a bidding where quoting a price really matters so as to won the project. Hence, the pricing is not fixed. That is aside fluctuations of currencies as well as other things specified in the contract like training and etc...

Point is that, the PAF have these jets being part of their Flight Plan 2028 with these platforms serve as a primary training/interim fighter aircraft in line with planned MRF procurements in Horizon 2 (if all goes well). Simply speaking, the planners already have it set and they are aware as to what they are doing, contrary to the insufficiency of Mr. Lopez's points in his so-called arguments.  ;D

Hello sirs;

Isn't it the right time now to transfer this thread to "AFP Organization, Services, and Units" portion since it was commissioned recently?

General Discussion / Re: Mindanao under Martial Law
« on: May 25, 2017, 12:54:02 PM »
With Martial Law declared in Maute-affected areas in Mindanao, and Duterte prepared to hunt down the terrorists wherever they may go, under the cloak of martial rule, are our reservists in the affected areas ready to fulfill their duties to answer the call to arms in support of, or along side, regular troops?

Given by the fact that being a Mindanaoan as well as an Air Force reservist since 2013, being called upon this kind of cause will be worth fulfilling. If the government calls for reservist to join in this kind of effort, so be it. This maybe the call to end the years of conflict in this southern part of the Philippines where it is time for us Mindanaoans to progress and live peacefully.
