Kindly let this float in Gen/Disc for a bit (for higher visibility) before punting it to Equipment/Gear. :)
Have any of the Philippine armed services ever issued (or been issued) a spec/standard wristwatch for servicemen?
What/when, if so?
Thanks.

Most servicemen opt to purchase their own wristwatches of different brands, mostly timex and casio models. Though some rare occasions special units give stipends for them to buy preferred brands. In some cases the LRR then where given/issued wristwatches as part of the organizing the unit in the early stages of their formation. The SWAG might have diver type watches issued or bought with the unit’s stipends.

Thanks, that's what I'd been hearing as well.
I was hoping that at some point, there was a department-level procurement (or acceptance of foreign EDA).
It would be astonishing if a service had actually drafted specs for a public bid, followed by an actual contract,
delivery, and then general issue to servicemen.
